Description of the teaching and research activities: Genetic, morphological and productive traits of animals and their improvement through qualitative and quantitive selection. Improvement of dairy products through better livestock husbandry and human resources’ management methods. Livestock waste management.
Description and quality of raw materials for the preparation of animal feed – Linear Programming.
Single cell proteins (yeast, bacterial, microalgal) and insect proteins. Expansion – Extrusion techniques.
Use of various agricultural by-products in animal and fish feeds (maize gluten meal, cotton seed cake, groundnut meal, rapeseed meal and rapeseed oil, winery by-procucts).
Use and effect of probiotics on animal health and the quality of livestock products.
