Research interests


Forensic pathology of animal abuse and neglect. Histopathology and immunohistochemistry of parasitic and infectious diseases. Dermatohistopathology and skin diseases cytology of small ruminants. Effects of diet on gastrointestinal tract histomorphology (on health and disease). Comparative pathology - comparative forensics.

 

Curriculum vitae


Dimitrios Doukas was born in 1977 in Larissa, Thessaly, Greece. He is an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Veterinary Science, School of Health Sciences, University of Thessaly since May 2021. He had been an adjunct lecturer at the same Faculty for the previous 7 consecutive years. His published scientific work includes 1 PhD Thesis, 1 MSc Thesis, 1 book chapter, 12 papers in peer-reviewed journals [citations: 193, h-index: 5, i10-index: 3 at Google Scholar, 10/10/2021], 13 papers in full conference proceedings, 44 abstracts in conferences proceedings (of which 16 in international and 28 in greek conferences) and 6 articles in the proceedings of seminars and workshops. Finally, he is a reviewer in 2 scientific journals and a member of 5 scientific / professional associations.
